The truly awesome thing about this is that these guys weren't "PRO" sailors. They were just "ordinary guys & gals" who gave up their work for a few months to take part in one of the most phenomenal challenges that has ever been put on.

I'm not certain it is 'totally worth it". I've sailed for 40 years, and never sailed through anything like what these pro sailors went through, but enough to know they were not having a good time.
