I remember growing up as a kid they used to say Brian Eno was from another planet ! He was certainly light years ahead of his time !

By 1972 rock had become aristocratic and stuffy. Many of us who were there used to dearly crave whatever was to come next. These guys foreshadowed so much of what came later. Brian Eno's solo career was a marvelous thing, listening to Before and After Science would still be a thrill if I still had a good old turntable! Anyway, some of his stuff with David Bowie and Jah Wobble were unbelievable. I wonder what Brian Ferry is doing these days?

I just discovered Roxy Music yesterday. Duh. Where have I been all this time? I'm pretty sure Brian Eno, or Brain One, took a time machine back to 1972 after seeing a Radiohead concert. This is so freaking far ahead of it's time, I feel like everything I ever knew about rock history is wrong. It cracks me up that Island records begged U2 not to work with Brian Eno, fearing he'd destroy their career!
