And I don't think you know the true stuff scientologist' believe, read what they really believe in and not the rumors on the internet. If you do then you'd know what you said is false. Not for the followers most of the time.The average christian doesnt gain power from being in their religion.The fact that powerful people with lots of money do well in scientology, means that by joining you make connection to them and can benefit from it. I'm talking about a very different religious mindset, not average in the slightest.

His father was a scientologist I believe. So he didn't really join it so much. Also from an interview he gave once it doesn't look like he's that ardent a follower of the religion. Potentially a Christmas and Easter sort of guy. Then again some members of his band apparently left because they were sick of hearing him talk about it so who knows.

Anyone who joins scientology is going to get crap, especially if they are a celebrity.I still like his music, but I think he's stupid for joining the group.Scientology most likely gets him access to things like the favor of people in powerful places, you wont convince me he joined because he actually thinks he has to rid himself of thetans. Its about power and money.

What is with all this crap Beck's getting? Who cares if he's a Scientologist? Everyone has their own set of beliefs, whether it be a religion, a philosophy, or, in some cases, a cult. But if it's not harming anyone, then who cares? Scientologist ethics are very close to Christian ones, the main difference being how the world and humans came to be. Just because Beck's a scientologist doesn't make him less awesome; He's still the most innovative artist alive today.

Sweet Jesus, shut the hell up. Who really gives a damn what religion Beck believes? Every person has a right to whatever religion they believe. I came here to watch an amazing video from Beck, and now I'm listening to a jackass telling me how evil Beck is because he's in a "cult". Guess what jackass? NO ONE CARES. GO PREACH ELSEWHERE.
