I agree with Zelinna12, Virture and Moir are similar to TnD, but I do not think that anyone will ever become as great as these two.If you look in the pairs, though, Jessica Dube and Bryce Davison has a similar beauty to Tessa and Scott, but again, they will never be as great as Jayne and Chris are.

Couldn't help but be grateful for whoever invented youtube when being able to see great moments like this again.

Yeah I saw them twice here in Canada & I cried like a freakin baby when those asshole judges robbed them of another Gold in Lillehammer! If you want another team to watch with the same magic & brilliance look at Virtue & Moir from Canada & they are just 19 & 20!They are so going be GOld Meadlists in Vancouver in 2010 & they will be the youngest ever! They have that something special that T&D have, Scott is pehnominal & Tessa is beautiful!

This is just beautiful. It makes me proud to be British. Really is hairs on the back of the neck stuff. The gradual crescendo of the music and the perfection of the skating. Moves that were daring, but came over effortless. I don't think I'll ever consider a piece of skating more perfect than this is my life!

Torvill and Dean are the only skaters I've ever really enjoyed watching. It's not something that usually interests me, but those two were - and are - stunning. There is no other word to describe it. You do realize, though, that in a thousand years time, nobody will believe they existed, they'll be considered mythical ice gods. Which only differs from modern opinion by the addition of the "mythical".

I found this while just browsing, I have been after a clip of this for ages, and have now found one. I remember watching this program while I was in Germany, it was fantastic then, and it still is. There has never been anyone to touch Jane and Chris since this. I can watch this over and over again, it's so moving and emotional. I've just started doing a little ice dancing and know the amount of time and energy something like this takes. It's just great.

The fun thing is, that ppl are now seeing the "dancing on ice" shows on TV that these 2 are involved in (originated in the UK, exported to US and elsewhere), they do look a tad slow now, but still awesome. they would have had gold again in 1992 if it wasn't for the "illegal flip" they did, but they got the bronze. better than Eddy the Eagle ever did :) |
