haha...."chair force". Ill have to ask my father-in-law about that term. He is a retired captain USAF pilot and flew the F-111 Ardvark, B-52 and AWACS. My mentor basically...but I cant seem to get him to sit with me on FSX. LOL Maybe someday :)

Good deal. I was in the chair force back in the day... but since then have also taken quite a liking to the antics and noise (and professionalism) of Navy and Marine aviators...

I dont have a blue angels....but if you want the navy texture I modified, i'll send it to you. Till then I have wait for Matt from IRIS to make me the Marine version. BUT at least the Navy is US and thats what I like. Ok..so im not opposed to the RAF variants, but im a Oklahoma boy and USAF, Marines and Navy is what im born and bred with :)

Sounds good. Send me a few screenshots when you get the repaints! You wouldn't happen to have a Blue Angels texture for the F-4 would you? It is my most sought after add-on.

I too grew up with the Phantom. Miss that ol' bird. I bought the IRIS F-4 and really like it. I agree that some of the interior textures are lacking, but the exterior and flight model is great! Matt (paint artist for IRIS) is making me a US Marines texture! Cant wait! Till then, I found a US Navy texture created for FS9 version, so I modifed it to work with my FSX bird :)

do you think the iris phantom is worth buying? Because I really want a phantom for fsx and I this is one of the only ones you can get for fsx as far as I know. Or if not are there any better quality phantoms you can get?

No I have just checked, Alphasim don't sell the phantom unforntunetly, because aplhasim sell good quality addons.

I think there are at least two payware F-4 Phantoms... The Iris phantom and Alphasim. I was not impressed with the quality of the Iris version.

it costs like £11 off iris simulations. Is it the only place where you can buy a phantom for flight sim? And apparently this works in fsx as well. |
