A great film. Remember it's all about the music. You need not spend as much to get top sounds.Good music such as Bo Diddley/Stones/Hendrix/Zep/Pistols/James Brown/Kraftwerk Jazz & Classical. Those guys are mad but I salute them. Valves better but can be trouble. Transistors with good cable can sound sublime. Cd done properly can sound "non digital". Vinyl is best. Build in accordance to your room size. Go to Hi-fi exhibitions, a cheap way of hearing top sounds without getting your fingers burned

A lot of judgement being passed in this film.You notice that the director shows the wives faces when asking about the cost of the system,and showing all the idiosyncratic things these guys do to get the best sound.I guess these guys should have just bought Ferraris,or let their wives buy antique furniture with the money.That would be more socially acceptable to the director,I guess.
