I can see how it might be perceived this way but I looked at it another. I think the point of the show is to tell a very interesting story and to also make people see what the reality is of getting busted abroad. I think there is this perception that you won't get in trouble just because you're not in the U.S. The girls were naive and careless but the peruvian men are not saints either.
