It's from Walt Disney World. I've only been to Disneyland one time (1982) and they didn't have anything from MSEP. We live on the east coast, so we frequent Disney World several times a year. 1991 was the last time I got to see MSEP as a standard parade at DW. We got to see its return years later (for a limited time) and my family still misses it very much, so we're happy to have the music and memories.

Yes it was, but it was SO wonderful to be there that night. Did you also get the feeling, from the moment of arrival, that everyone was there for the same reason, like I did? I've never fely unity like that before, and I was only 10 years old at the time. OMG! I was standing in front of the Emporium too! I was the little standing with the two ladies of African-American descent. You probably don't remember. Remember when Elliot stopped in front of us for 5 minutes? Yes, it's still the best!

Yeah, Ole Main Street was crowded that evening. We were standing in front of the Emporium, great view. Still the best parade in Disneyland history.( just my opinion) I've seen it a few times at California Adventure and it's still a great show, but for me, it will always belong to Main Street. Have a great week. M.Evans

Is that from Walt Disney World or Disneyland? The year would make sense because I don't think the announcement was used until maybe 1979. 1978 is the year the first tried out the announcement at the Orange Bowl, when the Electrical Parade was the halftime entertainment. It went over so well, they ended up using it in the parks, and the rest was history.

I was one of those 10 million people that night. :) Most people really don't understand the amount of emotion that runs deep for this parade, unless they were there witnessing it first had all those years, especially on the very last performance.

Yep. That's the one he's talking about.

I was 11 years old the first time I saw this in the Summer of 1972, had my youngest brother on my shoulders and loved every minute. I was lucky enough to be there for the final performance in Nov. of 1996, 3 days after my 36th. birthday. I think including myself, my Wife and my Nephew there must have been 10 million folks on Main Street that night. Everyone was cheering, laughing, crying and having a wonderful time. The best Parade in Disneyland history. Thanks very much for posting HbVideos.

God bless you for posting this. I saw this parade in Disneyworld back in... 1982, I think. My memory of it is identical to this video. I also had the Super 8 presentation of this, when I was in my teens. I watched it a hundred times. God bless, again.

We have a long-olaying record that we purchased back in 1978. I don't believe it has the announcements, but we do have it recorded on video from the late 80s. I have a CD with the announcements that I purchased in 1991. Not sure if it's the "original," but it works for me.
