TommyMac, you're absolutely right, McKenzie's goal was a barnstormer, and what a place to score it. It is a shame in some ways that his goal was overshadowed by Villa's masterpiece, it deserves greater recognition. BTW I'm a lifelong Spurs fan, and the grapes taste sweeeeet to me ;-)

Motson says "It's there!" when Kevin Reeves slots the penalty!! That's an expression rarely used by the many different commentators these days! If Martin Tyler is reading this, can you say "It's there!!" next time a goal is scored live on Sky Sports? Ta! LOL

Steve McKenzie's goal was an absolute corker and is too often overlooked in the lexicon of Cup Final goals (no doubt overshadowed in people's minds by Villa's clumsy dribbled effort towards the end of an epic clash.....sour grapes there, sorry!). Still hurts all those years later. C'mon City!

Ricky Villas goal has to be at least one of the best goals in FA cup history. I was 11 years old at the time. Felt bad for UTD in 1979 against Arsenal... just had to say that cause it was my first time watching an FA cup final aged 9.
