Well, at least he did describe the barrel without calling it the little pipe part where the really fast thingy flies out of.

Just wanted to point out that it's not a dovetail safety. The sights are dovetail and the safety is beavertail.

this is no trophy match, it's a cheaper "loaded" jobby. i beleive the difference is that the loaded models are made in brasil, the trophy match and the trp's are made in geanoso, il. from the custom shop. there is about a 3 hundred dollar difference as well.

good job~! they could have designed it and make it simple to field strip springfield 1911's.why do i have to use an allen wrench.

ok, so its a magazine, not a clip. the switch is a thumb safety, not a hammer lock. There is no barrel lock, it is a bushing. The 'gun base' is the frame. Spring lock pin is the guide rod. And you never mentioned the barrel link. Apart from that, good job. kinda......

just a bit of i guess constructive criticism, the way i was taught and do, is to put the slide catch back in right after you put the slide back onto the frame, that way you don't have to worry about holding back all of that extra pressure when you're trying to put it back on
