I think it adds to it in some way. To see how someone can handle unforeseen or potentially conflictual situations. Makes her more human and accessible.How would Miles have handled it? How would Charlie Parker deal with it? (Probably head for the bar, and find various ways to "forget" about it - or, he'd fall asleep, or something....).

I have the same feeling. Pop fluff (which skirts the surface) has overtaken the airwaves to the exclusion of genuine soulful feeling, or heartfelt sentimentality.Beautiful lady. They don't come along that often.
