It's impossible to sing the "diiiiiie" part in chest or even in head voice.

I prefer Michael Crawford's version of this better then either of the film versions.

frankly, i dont really ian, never did. simply because of ted's humble voice quality. so yeah.

i got very technical about this with a friend who was upset with judas being black in jcs- none of them would have been black or white. they were galilean! middle east, like, iraqi. lol that made it even worse :D but it doesnt really matter. kudos to any high school that does it, my parents and their best friend put on the high school musicals where i live, which is arkansas. if we even suggested it, all 3 would end up crucified in front of the auditorium lol.

I said this in a post on another site, maybe it's 'cause we're all so used to Ian Gillian and Ted Neeley as Jesus.

2 reasons jcs2000 is not even close.1)he is nowhere close 2 ted or ians voice.he has 2 sing the high notes falsetto?part of the reason this song is so powerful is the full voice!2)i also have this against ian(sorry,u who love the original record).in ted's voice there is a humilty i have heard nowhere else.not in glenn, not in ian, not in anyone.ted is a very humble man, ive met him.he strives 2 be more like jesus, and that includes the humility that shows through the voice that no 1 else has.
