Wonderful song! I've seen this video multiple times, but it never ceases to amaze me how well the song melds with the video. I've been a fan of Colin Meloy's since his "Tarkio" days. He is truly a man of tremendous musical aptitude.

Hm, its true the insults on America look bad to other countries and thats not good. But the commentary on war is fine. Coming from someone close family and friends in the war, and watching it directly effect people around me I'd say I'm not for the wat, but you always need to be patriotic. Support our troops and The US of A : ) Good song all the same, just less harsh-ness on America would be nice.P.S. Sorry the spelling in this is sooo wrong. o.0

This video is horrible; it takes away everything from the meaning of the song. I can't believe they ruined the song this way. This is a very deep song ... do yourself a favor and close your eyes while you listen to the song.

I love this song and the Decemberists are mad cool, but that's now how Model UN works! haha, I have played the US once, but I was the Russian Fed a whole lot more often, lol.but yay for this song.

In terms of quality of life Ireland is a better place to live compared to the US. Their economy is just about as unstable though.
