When Bush took office in 2000 gas was about $1.40/gal. People were freaking at $2 then $3 under a republican president, house and senate until 2006. So now it's $4 and suddenly it's all the democrats fault? The republicans had full control to address these energy issues but did nothing. They steamrolled the democrats for years. Why not push for drilling when you were in power? It's election year bullshit! And don't get me wrong, spineless democrats like Pelosi deserve to be thrown out too!

Although I think Al Gore and N. Pelosi are trying to get more taxpayers money to fund their Global warming hoax; I also would like to blame oil companies who influenced the stoppage of the manufacture of the electric car in California. Carmakers like GM, Ford , Toyota and Honda which gave leases to those electric cars, took the cars back and shred them to pieces. What a waste. Car makers thought they cant make money out of electric cars 10 yrs ago.
