I'd really like to learn to speak wolof but it's impossible to understand just listening to people speaking and I've tried to ask some friends to teach me but they really can't explain to you anything, I think that they don't have structural logic of language maybe.. I would like you to tell me some title of book I can buy of grammar. can you? sorry for my english, kisses, Iolanda

Very good! It's a great thing to learn indigenous languages. I always say that more people should try learning African languages. Unfortunately when many people think of going to Africa they concentrate too much on English, French or Portuguese instead of the real African languages. The first time I heard Wolof was when watching a Sembene Ousmane film 'Xala'.

I just learned I have to move to the US, cause here in Germany there is not a single possibility to study such an "exotic" language... somehow it's understood, we do not have a big ammount of senegalese immgigrants here in Germany.I use to say that, if you know a people's language, you can take a look inside a people's soul! In that sense, good luck for your studies and jerejef for the video!
