He's not simply a DJ. Like someone else said, there are plenty of disc jockeys who are players in other aspects of music: I mean look at Amon Tobin.. he was a jazz harmonica player, now he does kickass DJ sets in creepy underground clubs. Shadow is a musician, and Endtroducing shows that.

Although I like DJ Shadow (he is the only DJ I listen too) I totaly agree with what you said.

Because he's a disc jockey. But the thing is that alot of DJ's that i know also have other backgrounds in music. I would imagine it being hard to make a song if you didn't know how to play anything or have a basic knowledge of music. Know what i mean?and your english was right on man.
