during my elementary days, my father bought a cd of celine dione with luciano pavarotti singing a duet.. " i hate you then i love you".. that started my interest in classical singing not knowing that what pav does is classical singing with vocal technique..well, LP really inspired me thats why i entered a music conservatory.. and i found a home.. i found passion.. i found almost everything.. i found my music.. thanks to The Lucianno Pavarotti.. Rest in Peace Maestro..

What moves me here is this: 2 kids from Modena, childhood friends, united on stage once again, still singing as if they're in their mid 20s, still singing well, and having lots of fun. And Pava, despite his advanced age and poor health, still singing better than most "alleged" top tenors in their prime. It's as pure as it gets.

Your truth? The truth which you've acquired by reading a book? A truth which you have not created but acquired from somewhere else?

So you're denying basic physiological truths now? There is no point in being so horrible to people who find certain singers unmoving, it is just an opinion. We all like different foods, scents, characteristics in other people - these all have physiological, psychological and social basis and you shouldn't be so nasty when somebody's opinion differs from your own. Of course, by the laws of neuroplasticity, there's always a chance I could change my mind about him. =P

GermanOS-Was he moving you in Tosca the same year when he sung in Rome?
TheInquisitive4Ever (August 28, 2008 at 2:31 pm)
Davester-You sound as if you've been inhaling too much. Do you even read the nonsense you're posting? Who the heck are you to lecture me? As a 19 yo you're just consuming oxygen, without any contribution to society. The pseudo-scientific jargon you use to strengthen your little comment comes across a feeble attempt to establish circular logic.

Wow, you really do not see how much of an idiot comments like that make you look? Emotion is a plastic phenomenon, we are all different and capable of change, capable of being moved in different ways by different sounds and sights depending upon our programming and upbringing. I posted my opinion based on what my emotive neurological centres detect - just because my neuroplastic centres differ from yours does not mean I am dull or incapable of perceiving beauty. Silly person. =)

I agree...he moves me not here. However, to listen to his Boheme performances in the 60s, it is a sound from Heaven.

Dave-If it doesn't move you then you might need to consider the fact that you're as dull as the weather of good old England and are not capable of perceiving what's superb. |
