But I think being more "Human Like" is supposed to be a part of the Tenth Doctor's personality.

Good point! I liked the first season. I think David Tennent is playing the Doctor as "too human" if that makes sense.

One of my favorite lines is when Rose tells the Ecclestone Doctor he sounds like a Northerner and he says they have North in lots of places. But I remember all the other Doctors as well - they all have their good points (but after Peri and Mel I was glad Ace came along)

Eccles-Cake, lol! Actually, Eccleston left of his own accord because he was afraid of being typecast, the producers wanted him to stay. Having said that, I was never a great fan of Eccleston, he sounded far too Northern. I'm a Northerner myself but I think a more neutral-sounding English accent (like the one he did in 28 Days Later) would have been better for the Doctor.

The new series would not exist in its current form without such a wonderful back-story and the WHOs that came before. I always loved the show but it had a terribly low budget and I remember one of my friends watching it and commenting on the villain of the week as a latex shrimp. The power of the old Dr. Who series was always in the script and now BBC has invested the pounds into technology, music, talent, and script to create the ultimate package. Great Job!!
