Does Harper do a version? The versions I've heard attributed to Ben have all been Gaines' versions. Any definitive links to Harper?

Not a bad version but the original is still the best. Gaines doesn't have the same range and the way he is singing it is easier.

what you people stop saying whose version is better, don't you understand that it's a matter of choice, if you like peter's , edwin or jeffrey's version then fine but its stupid to argue about it.. enjoy your version and leave it alone its like trying to tell someone an apple tastes better than an orange, its personal choice people

Someone wrote that Edwin McCain's cover of this is better. You think so? I gave McCain's version a listen. You must be CLUELESS. Jeffrey Gaines' version is smokin' good, far better than McCain's cover of this song AND better even than Peter Gabriel's original (Album) and live versions. Jeffrey Gaines' has basically redefined this song for us as new and better song

Edwin McCain does do a version of this. As does Jeffrey Gaines, Staind, The Brown Derbies, and Peter Gabriel of course.

Dude, if you're thinking of the version floating around Napster and the like a while back, it was incorrectly identified as Edwin McCain when in fact it was Jeffrey Gaines. I am a huge Edwin fan and I cannot recall him doing a version, or at least one similar to this. |
