It's amazing to think that she was only 19 when she actually wrote this {it was first released on the 1967 album she recorded with The Strawbs}, the same age Mike Oldfield was when he composed "Tubular Bells"...Sandy is now one of my favourite singers, both solo and for her work with Fairport convention, Fotheringay, Strawbs and The Bunch, and her earliest work from 1967 is amazing for someone so young. She is one of music's tragic losses, and yet so often overlooked :(

i have all ways liked fairport especially SANDY DENNY if she had lived longer who knows where fairport would have been such agreat LOSS

Thanks for this. I bought Leige and Lief ages ago and wasn't aware that Sandy Denny had passed away, I just thought she had stopped recording. I was very sad when I discovered the truth. Your video helps bring her to life for me.
