A smooth song for its time (1988), I was in college at the time and this style wasn't in. But I liked the classics and this blew my mind at the time that a current artist would dare to sing in a vintage style. Still sounds great today!!

Why was this song never a hit?I think that it is his best song..so smooth....What a great song...and so much better than the other artist that covered it

GM is very melancholy in a lot of his music. Of all the artists ever, he has been one of the few that have managed to convey the deepest emotions of what he is trying to say. He is - basically - a musical genius.

I don't give a crap whether he loves men , women, cats, dogs...that stuff doesn't matter to me - he's a hell of a good artist and I so wish he'd come to the wichita / kansas city area for a show sometime.
