Ian was so young in this video, yet he was already so canny to the coolest vocal tricks ever. Look how he snaps the mic away at the end of each "Hush" to stifle the echo. It's shocking how musically gifted the whole line-up was. Consummate artists, every one of them. Shame about the egos.

This is by far the best version of this song with the original following a distant second. Deep Purple really took this one and supercharged it and in my eyes, blew the original out of the water. It's like comparing Dylan's All Along the Watchtower to Hendrix's, they're both great in their own right but the cover ended up being a zillion times better than the original.
