the performers have to stand in the way of the picture because the visuals are actually sensitive to live action - it is not a pre-made animation - the programming that made the visually basically commands the animated objects to 'bounce off of a large black shape' - that shape is the performers shadow.

Curious sound reactivity. Not sure why the performers have to stand in the way of the picture though... just to prove that it is live?
