Seems to be a lot of misleading comments on this song. The music was composed 25 years ago by the great Ennio Morricone for the movie Once Upon a Time in America, it's called Deborah's Theme on the soundtrack. Alan and Marilyn Bergman, 3-time Academy Award winners, put lyrics to it for a tribute album to Ennio. It's something that I think can and maybe should be done to some of the great orchestral music that has been recorded over the years. A beautiful outcome anyway you look at it.

I absolutely love this song. When she sung it at the oscars she looked like the oscar and it was AMAZING! She sings this stunningly. Celine rocks :)
