its complete foolishness to think that anyone would fire the mg-42 from the hip, this is one of the fastest firing infantry machine guns every made, firing from the hip would only be practical and usefull at all in a "hero" situation such as a soldier clearing a room with one, in open field or urban combat firing this from hip would not only be pointless, but your targets would kill you long before you got the chance to fire because you would have to expose your entire body

Darrang the scene you mentioned is mg-42. The model 34 is fast, but just not like the mg-42

love that part from 2:13 to 2:18 where you see how many tracers the mg34 or 42 (whichever is fireing in that clip) can kick out. especially knowing that theyre one every 5 or 7 rounds that are actually fired. insane
