... we then had to perform the final concert in a massive church with a full orchestra without rehearsal. it went without a hitch I recall thanks mainly to our magnificent music master - probably long since departed - Jock Roberts.

This takes me back to 1974 when I performed this with (my) grammar schoo, and the girls' high schoo,. choir Yes, they were the days when schools were not as they are today. We had to learn our parts in a tiny classroom round an upright piano - the girls did likewise in their school - |
