Were running out of oil. Were running out of natural gas. Were running out of corn. Were running out of food and water. Liars. It is price manipulation. The only thing that is running out is money in the middle class thanks to the greedy assholes.

I've heard hydrogen gas is difficult to contain, cause it diffuses through almost anything. There should be something like a hidroaccumulation plant, were wind power surplus raises the water to a tank, from which water is again released down the turbines when energy is becoming scarce. The problem of course would be the price of such miniplant

All "free" energy is suppressed. The big question is why?

too bad cold fusion has been suppressed

heinberg says in this clip that oil is at $50 a barrel, as of july, it's at $140 a barrel. get ready for the horse and cart. and if you think that it's just a matter of time before new technology replaces oil, think again, because demand for rare metals and refined silicon for the solar industry is rising just as supplies are beginning to dwindle, and it's the same story for copper and aluminum. oil has been the lifeblood of industrialization, beginning with whale oil, now it's come to an end.

I'm a power engineer and I can tell that there's no way America will make up for fossil fuels with renewables. That role will be reserved to coal. As for what he sais about hydrogen I strongly disagree. Hydrogen storage is 4x more compact and 16x lighter than state of the art batteries. Don't tell me that mid sized sedans will ever drive on batteries as hydrogen is barely sufficient a carrier. And finally, gasoline is also an energy carrier just like hydrogen...

You are believer jwallbanger. The typical type of optimist who always looks in the direction of white-coats when problems arise. But you don't have a clue about energy transformation and efficiency and the problem of finite sources in context with steady growth. You are not a scientist.
