I put these clips together from the popular tv drama, Grey's Anatomy. It features a "Hmong" girl needing surgery and her family not allowing one until they call her soul back. A Hmong shaman flies in via helicopter to perform a healing ritual in the hospital. A little silly, but its just television. When I first saw this episode on TV, I thought it was so interesting. And I was surprised that for such a long time, no one had it up on youtube, so I decided to put it up. Enjoy! And feel free to voice your opinions. :)FYI: The only actual Hmong person shown in the clip is the shaman. The rest are Hollywood actors paid to portray a Hmong family. Although they didn't use real Hmong people on the show, it doesn't change the storyline. The doctors on the show are not real surgeons either. It's not a big deal. It's called TV. The point of the show is the medical cases, not what kind of people they cast to play the characters.Thank you to everyone for their interest in my video. To answer a common question... The clips from this video were taken from Season 2, episode 5 of Grey's Anatomy titled, "Bring the Pain." What you see in my video is all that they show about the Hmong girl and her family. The rest of the episode deals with the doctors' relationships with each other and other patients. That's REALLY what the show is about.

Actually, Hmong people do. My family are all Animism Shamanism Believers and we ALWAYS do the Healing Ritual before anything else.

I have to comment on this since my father is a Shaman. Spirit and body are two different things. Shaman heals the spirit which helps the body , but this does not always necessary fix it. Doctor are the best at what they do, and that is fixing and healing the body. My father has gone through heart attack, ulser, etc... and at the end it always end up with the doctor fixing or healing him. In the end, let then Shaman do their job and let the Doctor do theirs too.
