Beware, when evil men and cowards speak of "peace".

Yes, but also according to notes by Tolkien, Manwe will not leave Taniquetil until Dagor Dagorath when Melko returns and Arda is undone. When Morgoth was defeated Manwe sent Eonwe so to deal with Sauron why not a Maia? Besides, I think Olórin was mentioned in Silmarillion as "the wisest of the Maiar". But well... who knows what Tolkien knew about his world. Only thing I´m sure of is that Sauron never took the shape of a big ass eye. That was a metaphore :)

you're half right. he is the head, but he's still as powerful as he was before.

Christofer Tolkien wrote in " Lost tales of Middle Earth " that his father wrote in a small secret message, that when The Istari order left Valinor, the lord of the western figured out that OlorÃn, Gandalf, was Manwë himself. Gandalf was his form too help middle earth. So no, Saruman was not mightier than OlorÃn.

the death of Saruman was..well maybe deserved, but the way he died now, and he was swayed by sauron, as he says:"none can content with the will of Sauron"probably without the palantÃr he would not have betrayed the men of the west.

Gandalf the White is more powerful and is now the head of the order of wizards.

Saruman deserved it. He was just trying to trick them again. But at the end of the book, Frodo didn't want Sam to kill him because he thought Saruman might find a cure for his evil.He was a genuinely good guy at one time.
