The beauty of it, the irony of it, is beneath the sex and drugs the film is about the innocence and naivte (spelled wrong, sorry) of the characters. I thought at first they were dumb or something, but they really are just innocent and believe in wild things. They are almost child like. Bravo to the performers and to PT Anderson.
