I find it amusing that because my opinion differs that I'm accused of being jealous and a hater. Good grief! I stick to my views and don't need to insult anyone who has a different one. Face it, not everybody likes seeing small children in such a light. Sure, let her have her fun for now. I said it once and I'll say it again, it may backfire. I'm far from being a hater. When a child, young as 10 can sound like a star and has a beautiful voice, that means she has talent and to take advantage of it at a early age. I'm sure Alicia is proud as hell for that little girl who looks up to her. No one was comparing HER to Alicia, that's her idol. This young girl is not a musical genius thats my point. We're not talking about a savant here, good grief. When I see her portraing herself like she does I think she looks kind of silly, out of place. She is a good student not an Einstein. I don't know what her parents are thinking by letting her venture so far out before her time. It could backfire. I don't see a positive future for this young girl.

I think a lot of adults are jealous of these geniuses kids without even knowing it. Don't say "get a life, you're 11 or whatever". You don't understand that those kids don't "try" to look older, their mind IS older. Musical geniuses have a much more developed understanding that other people at their age. When they don't play they look completely their age and are acting just like their friends, but this is part of their lives. They're just more mature |
