Thanks! The variation at 2:59 isn't really too hard, but yes, it's tricky to keep it going for so long.

Hi,I really like this performance, especially the soprano part from 2:59 till 6:54. That must've been really hard on your tongue!! I also really like the part from 6:23 till 6:54 =D Thanks for putting some more good recorder music on youtube! ('cause I think there isn't enough ;)Jojanneke (the Netherlands)

Yes I can imagine that it is not only a matter of good playing but of organizing as well. However it would be well worth the trouble. And there is an extra problem with visuals (as with live performances) I can imagine. Who may position her/himself in front of the camera, because one democratic row is hardly possible to visualize things closely for one or two cameras. Anyway good luck and happy playing. The camera technique in the quintet-performance was outstanding (camera knew its stuff!).

Hi Paul,Thanks! I'm glad our playing was able to transcend your dislike for the instrument. :)Of course you're welcome to link to this video, please do. I do not have a full-ensemble version ready for YouTube, it's quite difficult to get 12+ players together to rehearse. However, there are three takes of audio, each bit has a problem so no one version is OK to use.-Glen |
