dude... don't underestimate. what do you mean there were no hints? there were many hints. hints are given through the music - they don't always have to be spoken or seen. maybe the musical phrases they started together were connected to a beat/song they both knew or were familiar to. great artists know how to speak through their works.

I, for one, thought it was incredible that they often started remarkably similar musical phrases at the same time as each other. One example was the bass at the same time as McFerrin, producing the same rhythm and tones, with almost, if any at all, no real hints to each other beforehand as to their next ideas. Such a coincidence would certainly have caused me to laugh like that.
