Guns provide a sense of power.Growing up in Brooklyn NY for 30yrs i've been threatened by teenagers with guns. I've seen altercations between teens talking alot of stuff whip a gun out and shoot the other teen in the face. They arent crazy they just don't care until someone does it to them. Without the guns they wouldn't be so bold.When i was a teen we fought hand to hand and left it at that now there is no such thing.

actually I know of none who commited murder or crime utilizing guns. In fact of all of the people I know who have guns (majority of my acquaintences) none have committed crime or murder.

Here is a fun little anecdotal story for you to use when considering gun control. I came from a country where not everyone has guns to defend themselves. At least not the minorities..most of those minorities are now gone. Dead or Fled for their lives. by the way, they came to the US. Just about all have guns and I know of very few who commit murder. Go home and watch Harry Potter and pretend everything is okay. Leave it to the true Americans to pick up the slack.

I'm sure you can find a tremendous amout of statistical evidence to infer that murders and crime are also commited with edged weapons, blunt weapons, as well as just plain fists. It's not the guns that are commiting the crimes, you point out one scenario where a guy had a gun and got shot. I would venture to say that there are many more where the victim with a gun won. you don't want guns that's your fucking perogative.
