A nice piece from one of the groundbreaking albums of the 1970s. And this sounds like the original recording from 1975 on Columbia Records' Masterworks imprint. Pegeen Fitzgerald used it as the theme to her WOR Radio late-night shows in New York in the 1980s.

Indeed, the first theme sounds much like the beginning of Doctor Gradus ad Parnassum, there's also some Le Mépris' Camille's Theme by Delerue there.
