NEW ORLEANS 1987 - THE TWO BROTHERS STEVIE AND JIMMY PLAYING "PIPELINE" ON THE SAME DOUBLENECK GUITAR, SIMPLY INSANE:)SRV ROCKS!..AS USUAL AND THEY PLAY A GUITAR WITH LEFT HANDED NECKS ON A RIGHT HANDED BODY... STEVIE'S STYLE;) THIS IS FROM A STEVIE RAY VAUGHAN & DOUBLE TROUBLE CONCERT ON THE MISSISSIPPI RIVERBOAT "S.S. PRESIDENTE" AT THE NEW ORLEANS JAZZ & HERITAGE FESTIVAL MTV MARDI GRAS - FEB 28, 1987Something interesting about the guitar they play in the video: "Stevie Ray Vaughan and Jimmie Vaughan owned and played a custom Stratocaster-shaped double-neck guitar named "Family Guitar", built by Robin Guitars of Houston, Texas. This guitar had two maple necks, each with a different scale length and a pointy "drooped"-style reversed headstock with locking machine heads and was equipped with Rio Grande single-coil pickups. The latter is tuned an octave higher than a standard guitar, producing a sharper sound similar to that of a mandolin." From answers.com

Does anyone else think that the synchronized slide at 3:37 sounds really cool besides me?

What would have been the most awesome thing is if jimmie would've strummed the bottom set of strings - stevie picked the bottom strings while stevie strummed the top strings - jimmie picked the top strings That was suprisingly hard to type!!!
