A life is a life, moron. The idea that there's a difference is a human conception for man's own advantage. They are aware of their world as we are ours. Once the mindset of people like you is changed, we can all respect ALL life.

We do not need to test on animals to find cures. Scientists can use other methods that are MORE EFFECTIVE. Without testing on animals, we would actually save more human lives as well. There are many drugs on the market that harm and kill humans, that are there because they were tested on animals. We do not have the same system as a guinea pig and so torturing and testing drugs on them WILL NOT BRING US CLOSER TO A CURE.

One of the greatest men of all time, Gandhi, has this to say: "I abhor vivisection with my whole soul. All the scientific discoveries stained with innocent blood I count as of no consequence." - I tend to agree with him.

The research done in that lab has helped stroke survivors recover and has also given us (human being) a tremendous amount of knowledge on the subject of neuroplasticity. PETA ended up losing in court and the scientist eventually got the mokeys back anyways. Alex Pacheco is a hippie who destroyed a good scientists name.

I became a staunch animal rights activist a long time ago when my pet dog, Smurf, tragically lost his life to a botched castration. I know now that it is wrong to sever the scrotum without cauterizing the wound afterward using a cigarette lighter.
