it's the kora (AKA african harp) - I saw the guy (Toumani Diabate) play it live - just sublime, especially when just paired down to mainly acoustic insrtuments. Have a listen to the album he did with Mali blues guitarist Ali Farka Toure - 'In The Heart of the MOon' - sublime stuff.

The film is not on general release yet, but has been screened in Dublin and Belfast. There is a screening possibly planned in the new Lighthouse cinema in Dublin soon... Thanks for the comment! |
