Notice, he grounds the tray (using a 100K resistor is good in series with the green wire to earth ground.. or high resistance wire). Also good to use a GFI protected outlet and/or an isolation transformer (120/120V or 240/240V - NOT an auto transformer).

I just found your videos by chance when I was looking at self repairing robots and im glad that I did. These are just the little experiments that I like to do when I get some time. KEEP IT UP!!! P.S. I love the way that you put everything together kinda quickly and dont worry about aesthetics...Just the way I work.
