So fantastic to actually be able to see him! As the New York critic Schonberg once wrote: "He was only a shadow of himself, but still he sounded better than all other living pianists", and I think better than any pianist of today.

This _sounds_ very, very good !! Also the movements of the Body of Hofmann (hands, arms) look reasonable !

He had his own piano that he carted around with him, with small keys. Looking at it from above, it doesn't look to me like a 10th would be much of a stretch for him
