I dont think you can say either one is more brutal, but Hockey is a lot quicker paced so the hits are generally harder. Also the play dosnt stop when the hockey player hits the ice, he needs to get right back up and either get his ass to the bench or get his ass to the play. He cannot lie there for a long time like in football. I think hockey is tougher but ONLY talking about hits, football seems to have bigger ones because there are more of them, but hockey is tougher.

NHL. ONLY in the NHL will a guy get hit in the face with a puck, have it completely split him open, go to the locker room and get stitched up, and come back out to play the rest of the game. You just dont see that anywhere else, including football. Guys will get a concussion and keep playing! and not to mention the fighting. Look up Orr/Fedoruk. NHL is unrivaled in the world of professional sports.

Hockey for the win i have broke my legs dislocated my shoulder got four cuts on of which was on my neck. im a goalie ive hit my head in the post been tackled aka (skate to the neck). NFL is for Pussies and QuiresIn the NFL players get escorts of the field if they hurt there ankles we tie our skates and play it outanything happend they take a long ass leave we try to earn our money HOCKEY!!!!!!!!!!!!!111

hockey by far. ive broken both wrists, had 20 stitches from a skate to the leg, multiple dislocations of shoulders and elbow, hyper extension of knee and about 3 concussions in 5 years end of story.

Hockey.in football the whole game is smear the queer.Seriously.In hockey you have the fights, plus the scoring, when in football it's just a whole bunch of tackles and nothing much usually comes after that.Hockey you get a hit and you get a huge fight afterwards.
