i like the picture very much something timeless about it he reminds me of tiny "devils rejects" just way before its time.......i never met william but have spent time in his home in lawrence shortly after he died.... from his friends stories i would say he was a loving and missed person not just a writer on his last birthday all of his friends made him a penis shaped birthday cake...something funny about trying to blow out 80 some candles on a penis shaped birthday cake

I was addressing the previous poster.I didn't interpret it so much as a commentary on gay relationships or lifestyle as much as the parasitic nature of lust and consumption in general, but I suppose that's also my very specific take on something that is very surreal.Anywho, nah, that wasn't aimed towards you.

were you addressing me or the previous poster? A.Ginsberg was a witness in the legal hearing for labelling the book Naked Lunch "pornographic," which would have kept it out of mainstream bookstores. Ginsberg testified that much of the book is a satirical commentary on gay relationships and the gay lifestyle (of the 1950's) Now reread the book!!

Hmmmm. I could have made another lame slideshow like everyone else with their fancy ass tribute Burroughs vids. It is spoken word... The words should mean more than the actual picture. So close your eyes for a moment and think of the days of radio...
