An Obama "day" is unlikely and Obama himself would not want that. Obama would consider that as being pretentious. He will be well celebrated, however.

An Obama Day is as likely as Kennedy Day. He'll probably be filed under President's Day

no there won't be an obama day but there will be some streets named after him and when he is mentioned in books, t.v. shows, movies etc that reflect on african american culture and history he will be mentioned as the first black president and trend setter for african americans in politics.obama' 08

It wont happen in our lifetime, since Obama is still living. New holidays are for people who have already retired, so their entire career can be considered.

I wonder if well have an Obama Day just like MLK Day

I did. I campaigned for him for 16 months and I don't regret a single second. Springfield, IL is my hometown && I was so honored to see him speak not once but twice. It was amazing. There were tens of thousands of people freezing in February and overheating when he announced Biden as his VP. I literally saw dozens of people collapsing from the heat around me just to see his face. I knew from that moment there was really something special going on. Purely inspiring.
