Just more evidence of Lloyd's great generosity.I really can't warm up to Langdon, who looks like a giant overgrown baby. Even Lloyd, whom I adore (and who still has a powerful effect on women) has his windup-doll aspects. Silents are like watching strange, distant dreams, which used to be a huge reality. As Gloria Swanson said, "It's the pictures that got small."

All right. You can turn off the sound and watch the clip with any music you wish. At least that solves one of the problems. As for Langdon being Lloyd's worst nightmare, it was Lloyd who helped him get his start in Hollywood.

Harry Langdon is Harold Lloyd's worst nightmare. I hate him almost as much as that excruciating "music". He does not even belong in the pantheon of great silent stars, or even passable silent stars.

Stan Laurel's character was copied from Langdon.Harry was the "original"while Laurel's an imitation.

The National Film Registry just inducted this film as one of this years top 25 films to be preserved for all time. Langdon was a genius pure and simple.
