lol, you're right, but i maintain this position: sting, and stewart copeland were both egomaniacs, trying to outcool each other, and that actually laid the solid ground for andy summers to play all his underrated licks on top of: in my opinion the secret of their great and innovative sound

Personally I prefer the '86 version. Though this video is definitely the better of the two.The '86 version is just more...I dunno, depressed? The music better fits the lyrics in that one, I think.

Awesum song,I used to be besotted with my teacherI could really relate!!This video should include more of Sting taking his shirt off though ;POh and by the way this song is most definately reference to "Lolita" and Humbert is a writer when he decides to lodge at the house, but i believe they are referencing more to his graphic descriptions of how he felt in her prescence, rather than whether he is her teacher or not, which he isnt. |
