agree man.they had an enormous influence on everything, music, fashion, style, art...in their heyday.love the davis bros, even tho they seemed to hate each other! (lol).hope the youth are watching these clips and being influenced to take popular music to new levels.

This is quite possibly the best rock ballad ever.

Terry meets Julie - ahh, the romance of it all. I love Waterloo Station and Waterloo Bridge - walked over there hundreds of times - also, my family lived round there in the 1900's and before.Never seen Terry or Julie though!

Hi Klinsmeier - thanks for yur response. My list was not intended to be exhaustive. I always say my top five lists fave fifteen names in them! I just wanted to highlight a few songs from those wonderful years between '66 and '69 in England here I grew up listening to pop music grow up. It's a long way from You Really Got Me to Waterloo Sunset, but the songs are only three years apart. I'm convinced modern music will not see a hothouse flowering like that again: the world has changed, man!

if you really want to see a drug-inspired vid, then I would suggest: "2000 Light years from home" by the Rolling Stones!

your songlist is really excellent - although I would also mention the Penny Lane B-side "Strawberry Fields" (or the other way round?).But anyway, the two songs are from two different geniuses (Lennon and McCartney) and rating doesn´t make sense here..
