Just like I thought... I heard yesterday on a TV show an ex VJ when she was asked among all the artists she had interviewd, who was the nicest and coolest artist around. Without hesitation she answered PHIL COLLINS. She said he was like the guy next door, just an ordinary man with a big heart. This is why I beleive this video. He did not write it for money but he truly felt it. Thanks Phil for caring for poorer people.

I totally agree with Snaffleur, doesn't the well-being of your community go in front of your own needs? I mean really, the money USA spends on military could be used to feed & shelter thousands of beggars we see everyday. I bet that if you educate & employ people who used to be beggars, they're alot more motivated & happier than Average Joes who haven't felt (nor seen) the worse side of living, having to count on the good will of wealthy citizens... or the lack of it. JUST THINK ABOUT IT!

It would also depend on what he does in regard to issues, such as this one, which he sings about in his various songs. He may be very philanthropic, but simply doesn't go around broadcasting it. I am not saying he is. But unless you know that he definitely is not, it seems rather presupposing.

He brought awareness to the issue of homelessness, even in a place like the U.S. where some people think such may not exist; don't hate on the man or the music for doing more than giving you something to sway to, but by giving you something to dwell on and think about
