Chanted by Byzantine Master and Professor of Byzantine Music Mr. George Papanikolaos from Samos, Greece. Cherubic Hymn: Plagal of 1st tone, composed by Hatziathanasiou, which is chanted in the Divine Liturgy of The Greek Orthodox Church during the Great Entrance..."Let us who mystically portray the Cherubim, and chant the thrice-holy hymn unto the life-creating Trinity, lay aside all earthly care, that we may receive the King of all, escorted invisibly by the angelic orders. Alleluia."No instruments are used when chanting byzantine music, only the human voice can be used and nothing else.

have you ever chanted something where u truly layed aside all earthly cares? well i remember when i did and the words being chanted came to life. i never been so enlightened by these words and realized the actual deep meaning and theology of what i was chanting until that very moment. it was the stichera of the 6th tone (second plagal) during Sunday Orthros

Also who is the Saint kneeling near a tree that has an icon on it?

every icon in this video is very powerful. They are all unique, but at the same time they all have something in common.
