One has to be a REAL human to appreciate this film. Not a shitty feel-good bio-robot with a smiling mask on a string.Too bad there are too few real HUMANS in the World. Maybe 1 out of 100.This film is about a man, a truthseeker. The Stalker, his hopes and dreams and despairs. Everything else is a frame of his portrait.

they are called Strugatsky(Boris and Arcadi) but with the rest you're right. the book is one of the best I've ever red.

NOTE(for ppl who ask about S.T.A.L.K.E.R. game and that film):That film foundation on the book "picnic on the roadside"(dunno english name of the book(russian book, writed by Stugacky brothers)), game creators(i mean S.T.A.L.K.E.R. creators) take idea of that book(but change it). That film not bad, but boring a little bit, and i think book was better.
