I don't care what genres these songs fit into. All it comes down to in the end is if we like them or not.

hey michael22051014 if you think after forever are to pop then man you need to clean your ears out or get a hearing aid because this song sounds like metal music to me but i have to agree with some of these so call bands that say their metal rock bands do sound like a teen pop grounp to me

personal opinion there too pop for me! and though i like evanescence and lacuna coil, within temptation, nightwish epica i dont compare them. but this girl too poor not relly metal i can barely hear the guitars , a lot of drums! well each with is own.good band though

Heck one needs only listen to Equally Destructive. It's about well Globe Warming. Epicas Consign to Oblivion is the same way. AF and Epica seem to hit more into the realm of very day issues. Where as Gothic bands dont' really do that.

It's not full on Prog. But there are elements of Prog in there. In fact After Forever and Epica are the only two band with a female singer and male grunter that go out of there way to not sound like the other bands. In Epicas case if they could they would make a full on Death Metal album that would just so happen to have a a female singer. With AF they would make a full on Prog album with a female singer. They don't really seem to be the kind of band to go for the whole Goth thing.
